Hartal observed in Alappuzha town

ALAPPUZHA, JULY 23. A hartal was observed in Alappuzha town from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today following a call given by the CPI Alappuzha constituency committee in protest against the attack on the AISF district secretary, P. S. M. Hussain, and the district committee member, Sajir, allegedly by SFI workers, on Thursday.

Shops and business establishments in the town remained closed. Vehicular traffic was not disrupted.
