KARIMNGAR, JULY 23. The Superintendent of Police, Rajiv Ratan, has called upon youth to make maximum use of the job opportunities available in the defence and Central services. The SP visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) annual camp being organised by the 9 Andhra Battalion at Malkapuram village on the outskirts of Karimnagar on Friday. He reviewed a guard of honour presented by the cadets, lead by the cadet senior under officer, M. Sampath Kumar.
State quota in services
He said that the quota of Andhra Pradesh in defence and Central services was not being fully utilised due to regional attachment of the youth. The camp commandant, A. K. Jaggi, briefed about the special training activities being imparted to the cadets including weapons training, map reading, firing etc. The camp, which began on July 17, would conclude on July 28. About 770 cadets including boys and girls are taking part.
