NALGONDA, JULY 23. A tribal farmer, Katrawath Sakru (35), of Jodubavi thanda under Neredgomma grampanchayat in Chandampet mandal, allegedly committed suicide on Thursday due to mounting debts. According to information reaching here, Sakru owned a 3.5-acre land and had borrowed Rs.1.30 lakhs to meet agricultural expenses. Drought conditions forced him to migrate to Hyderabad recently in search of work. Unable to find employment and due to pressure being exerted by moneylenders, he resorted to the xtereme step. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
