Man's death triggers violence
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JULY 23.
An alleged suicide by a textile company worker, Somanarsaiah (45), triggered violence when his relatives `ransacked' the house of a woman, Malleswari, on Friday charging that he died after consuming the illicitly distilled liquor sold by her at Madhuban colony in Rajendranagar.
While a criminal case was registered against the victim's relatives for damaging Malleswari's house, the Rajendranagar Prohibition and Excise Station officials raided her house and seized ID liquor sachets. A native of Ramavaram in Warangal district, Somanarsaiah came to the city in search of livelihood and joined a textiles company at Katedan. He did not return home on Thursday evening and his body was found hanging from the ceiling of a bus stop.
