Six held, stolen

articles recovered

The Patancheru police on Friday arrested six persons and recovered stolen property worth Rs. 1.5 lakhs from them. The six persons, said to be members of a dacoit gang, were charged with committing 21 offences in Medak, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts, according to the police.

Rubber products stolen

Thieves broke into a private company, Real Rubber Products, at Guddimalkapur on Thursday and took away rubber products worth Rs. 2 lakhs.

House burgled

Robbers broke into the house of a retired employee, Rama Rao, at P&T Colony in Trimulgherry and took away 35 tolas of gold ornaments when he along with his family members went for a movie on Thursday.

Ends life

A law student, Sandesh (23), committed suicide by consuming poison in his house at Chappal Bazaar, after his father reportedly refused to buy him a motorbike.

He was admitted to Osmania General Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Dies in hospital

A housewife, Padmavathi, who had consumed poison with her husband, Mohan Rao (40), died on Friday while undergoing treatment at the OGH.

Mohan Rao and Padmavathi had reportedly attempted suicide due to financial problems.
