Minor raped

A four-year-old girl was allegedly beaten up and raped by a youth under the Uppal police limits on Saturday. The victim, a resident of Chilkanagar was alone in her house when her neighbour, Sudhakar (18) lured the girl to the nearby fields by offering her biscuits, raped her and fled the scene.

Arms seized

Mohammed Akram alias Srinu, was arrested by the Amberpet police on Saturday. One pistol of foreign make, five live cartridges, a knife and a motorcycle (AP 12 C 8970) were seized from him.

3 killed in mishap

A carpenter, M.Yadagiri (34), a resident of Dayaraguda died on the spot when the scooter he was driving was hit by a vehicle near Kukatpally bus stop on Friday. C. Ramulu (32) of Umarkhanguda died when a speeding lorry hit his motorbike on Hayatnagar main road on Friday. A scooterist, M. Kishen (26) of Supportabagh died after his vehicle was hit by an RTC bus at Saidabad on Friday.

Two robbed

Motorcycle borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs. 1 lakh from Krishnamurthy of Moulali. An MCA student, P.Lata too was relieved of her handbag containing Rs 15,000 by two persons on a motorcycle on the Narayanguda flyover.
