Impractical demand

Sir, _The demand made by the MLAs of West Godavari district to relocate the district headquarters at Tadepalligudem, is far from pragmatic.

Instead they can divert their energies to undertake useful activities for people who have elected them. .

Decision on

quota unfair

Sir, _The State Government's decision to grant five per cent reservation to Muslim minorities in jobs and professional courses is an unwelcome step.

I am not opposed to the concept of quota, but the facility should be extended to only the genuine beneficiaries.

To ensure it, the Government should include in the list of beneficiaries only those who are economically backward in the community.

Stop train at Bapatla

Sir, _It is unfortunate that plea for a brief stoppage of Seshadri Express at Bapatla railway station is being ignored by the railway authorities. Bapatla has a sizeable population and keeping in view that the place is fast developing, the authorities should consider a stop at the station.
