VISAKHAPATNAM, JULY 25. A programme for bringing ecological awareness among residents of Ukkunagaram township on health and hygiene was conducted by the Public Health Department of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the VSP Chairman and Managing Director, B.K. Panda, underlined the need for maintaining ecological balance in the township for giving a clean and healthy environment to future generations. The programme was launched as part of the Year of Scientific Awareness to inculcate awareness in environment and bio-diversity, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, disaster preparedness and solid waste management among the residents of the VSP township.
