Mishra's team in final Super league

ALLAHABAD, JULY 25. The final stage of the Railway Officer's Club Bridge was reached after the ninth round of league matches on Sunday. The top four teams in order of merit, which qualified for the final Super league were R. S. Mishra's team, Allahabad represented by R.S. Mishra, O.P. Tewari, S.D. Pandey, P.K. Banerjee, Anisul Haque and M.M. Mishra.

They took the top spot with 172 V.P., along with V.K. Agarwal's team, Allahabad (V.K. Agarwal, S.K. Ghatak, B.K. Agarwal, S.K. Bandopadhya, Maboodullah and Shankar Chatterjee), which also had 172 V.P.

Agarwal's team, Allahabad qualified for the final super league with the third best score of 160 V.P. The fourth team to enter the final super league was Siddiqui's team, Lucknow with 156 V.P.

R.S. Mishra's team tasted one defeat in nine matches at the hands of Agarwal's team, Allahabad (8-22), V.K. Agarwal's team which had an identical score of 172 also lost one match against Mishra's team (10-20).

Agarwal, the third team, which shaped well in three matches played in 5th, 6th and 7th sessions, lost to New Comers in the penultimate session (9-21). But the team recovered to defeat FUC Varanasi in the last match 24-6.

Siddiqui's team Lucknow made it with an outright victory (25 V.P.) in the penultimate match despite a marginal loss (14 V.P.) to R.S. Mishra in the last match.
