AP claims title

NEW DELHI, JULY 26. M. Saujanya Nath steered Andhra Pradesh to a title win in the women's National sub-junior cricket championship at the DAV College ground here on Sunday.

Andhra Pradesh restricted Karnataka to 97 for four in the allotted 30 overs with Dhanalaxmi scalping three for 12. Saujanya's unbeaten 60 ensured Andhra's seven-wicket win.

The scores:

Final: Karnataka 97 for four in 30 overs (Sindhu Ashok 38 not out, Dhanalaxmi three for 12) lost to Andhra Pradesh 98 for three in 22.2 overs (M. Saujanya Nath 60 not out).

For third place: Madhya Pradesh 77 in 24.3 overs (Khushbu Sisodia 30, Najuka Dawane three for 11, Shraddha Chauhan three for 17, Apoorva Kokil three for five) lost to Mumbai 79 for six in 25.2 overs (Pallavi Bhardwaj three for 32).
