CPI delegation to study FDI in China

NEW DELHI, JULY 27. The national secretary of the Communist Party of India, D. Raja, is leading a five-member party delegation to China to interact with the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The delegation is visiting the country at the invitation of the Central Committee of the CPC.

This is the first visit by a CPI delegation to China, after the advent of the United Progressive Alliance Government, supported by the Left parties from outside. It also comes close on the heels of the meeting of the Special Representatives of both India and China that concluded here today.

Mr. Raja told The Hindu that he had a meeting with the External Affairs Minister, Natwar Singh, ahead of the visit to China.
