FCG to build software for Witness Systems

BANGALORE: FCG Inc., an US based software development firm is setting up a software development centre in Bangalore, for another Atlanta based software product firm Witness Systems, to build a software application that will record calls in a call centre, both companies said here on Tuesday.

The contract to set up the 1893 sq.m centre, hire some 150 software engineers and build the software application, was for US $ 20 million, said Avinash Agrawal, managing director of FCG's Indian subsidiary, FCG India. Krishna Pisipati, a quality assurance manager at Witness Systems, said the software application was used in call centres, to take a "random sampling of calls, essential to keep tabs on quality." — Our Staff Reporter
