As many as 110 of the 116 families housed in the TTD's third choultry were given shops in the shopping complex constructed in Koorathalwar gardens, S.V. High School grounds and Purandaradas quarters.
BJP plea
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders met the TTD's Joint Executive Officer, N. Muktheswara Rao, and submitted a memorandum, urging the TTD not to give away prime pieces of land on lease to private parties. The leaders were particular about the recent allotment of a land worth several crores of rupees, abutting the newly coming up Koorathalwar shopping complex to a petroleum company for construction of a filling station, besides some prime lands in East Godavari district.
