Tiruvallur DCA beat Kancheepuram DCA on account of the first innings lead to enter the P.R. Thevar Trophy final on Tuesday. Tiruvallur will clash with Coimbatore, which defeated Tirunelveli by virtue of its first innings lead, in the final.

At Kancheepuram: Kancheepuram DCA 209 in 92.1 overs (S. Ashwin 34, K.M. Ramachandran 37, R. Karthik 36, K. Sriram five for 63, J. Balakrishnan three for 12) lost to Thiruvallur DCA 236 for six in 86.3 overs (J. Prasanth 37, S. Venkatvasan 66, K. Sriram 47, T. Shirralan 51 not out).
At Coimbatore: Tirunelveli DCA 107 (Blessing John 27, Soundaramani four for 28, Prabhu three for 24) and 65 for five vs Coimbatore DCA 256 in 122.1 over (Siddharth 65, Hari Prasad 33, Sanjeev Sundaram 32, Dinesh Babu 28, Imran Khan 26, Chinnadurai three for 70, Blessing John thee for 47).
