BANGALORE, JULY 27. The Minister for Water Resources, M. Mallikarjun Kharge, told the Legislative Council on Tuesday that the Government would start four medical colleges in the State in the coming academic year. Mr. Kharge was replying to a debate on a resolution seeking to facilitate legislation on sharing of seats in professional colleges in the ratio of 75:25 in favour of the Government. The Government intended to start the medical colleges in phases. It would start the colleges in Davangere, Shimoga, Bellary and Raichur as infrastructure was available in these towns, he said.
