St. Xavier's in final

KOLLAM, JULY 27. St. Xavier's College, Thumba will meet S.N. College, Kollam in the final of the 38th George Joseph memorial all-Kerala inter-collegiate football tournament.

In the semifinals at the TKM Engineering College ground, St. Xavier's defeated Sree Guruvayoorappan College, Kozhikode 1-0. Martin John scored the match-winner in the 20th minute.

S.N. College, Kollam edged out MG College, Thiruvananthapuram 4-3 on penalties after the teams werre goalless at end of regulation time.
