CHENNAI, JULY 27. Adbhijit Datta, chief general manager, State Bank of India, Chennai Circle, handed over a cheque for Rs. 12,07,300 to V. Shanta, chairperson, Cancer Institute, Adyar, towards the cost of equipment and accessories to update the institute's mammography unit. The institute has 427 beds, out of which 297 are for free patients. Around 70 per cent of the patients are poor and treated free of cost.
