THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 27. The windowpanes of the Eenchakkal branch office of a nationalised bank were damaged when a few Youth Congress workers barged into the office alleging that the bank officials had not disbursed loans under the Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) scheme to youth seeking self-employment loans. They were later arrested and removed by the Fort police. Youth Congress workers staged a dharna in front of the regional office of a nationalised bank in Statue which has been accused of denying a loan to Rajani, who committed suicide last week. The police stopped a group of Yuva Janata Dal workers who marched to the house of the Minister for Welfare of Backward and Scheduled Communities, M. A. Kuttappan, to protest against the suicide.
