Cloudy sky forecast

A cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or showers has been the forecast for Wednesday. The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 26.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.2 degree Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 90 per cent. The rainfall recorded up to 8.30 p.m. was 2.3 mm.

Transport bandh today

The entire goods transport sector in the twin cities will observe `one day token bandh' on Wednesday in protest against the imposition of service tax on the sector.

The joint action committee of Goods Transporters of Hyderabad in a release said that there would be no booking, delivery and transportation of consignments on the day.

VHP takes

out rally

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday took out a rally from Baghlingampally to Indira Park in protest against five per cent reservations to Muslims. They raised slogans against the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and later staged a dharna at Indira Park.

The rally was led by VHP general secretary, B. Manikyachary, according to a press release.
