Plea to restore cancelled medical seats

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JULY 27. A Central University campus organisation, the Social Awareness Campaign (SCA), has demanded that the State Government revive 270 merit seats, which were cancelled earlier in Government medical colleges.

In a statement here on Tuesday, SAC secretary V. Dileep Kumar, said the organisation's demands, which include restrictions on private medical colleges and protection of merit seats in medical admissions, were aimed at helping students seeking admissions to MBBS based on merit.

SAC also wanted the Government to immediately take steps to end the ongoing strike by junior doctors in the State.
