BANGALORE, JULY 28. Arup Baidya of Eastern Railway, who stunned top seed Hemant Duggal of North 6-15, 17-15, 15-2, set up a title clash with Rohan Castelino of Karnataka in the men's singles of the 52nd all-India Inter-Railway badminton championship at the Canara Union courts here on Wednesday. Baidya was down three match points in the second game after losing the first game to Duggal. But Baidya warded off the threat and rallied from 12-14 down to win the game against a complacent Duggal. Inspired by that turnaround, seventh-seeded Baidya brushed Duggal aside in the decider. Eighth-seeded Castelino, who knocked out second seed Ravinder Singh of UP in the quarterfinal, stayed on course with a 15-6, 15-8 win over A. Pridhvi of SCR in the other semifinal. The National No. 3, B. R. Meenakshi of Karnataka will take on top seed Neha Makhwana of Western Railway in the women's singles final. Meenakshi beat fourth seed Deepthi Ranjan 11-4, 11-0, while Neha ended the winning streak of Karnataka junior, G. M. Nischitha 11-7, 11-1.
