IDBI to merge with IDBI Bank

HYDERABAD, JULY 29. The Industrial Development Bank of India, the country's largest financial institution, said today that it would merge IDBI Bank, its private banking arm, this fiscal. The Industrial Development Bank of India Chairman, M. Damodaran, claimed that the combined entity would reposition itself to become one of the largest banks in the country. — PTI
