Manish stars in Bangalore's innings win
BANGALORE,
JULY 29.
Leg-spinner N. Manish's five-wicket haul powered Bangalore to an innings and 298-run victory over Raichur in a KSCA inter-zonal under-17 semifinal that concluded at the Central College Ground here on Thursday.
Raichur, struggling with a 380-run first innings deficit, was all out for 82 in its second innings and cleared Bangalore's path towards the final. Bangalore will clash with Dharwad in the final here from August 3 to 5.
In the other semifinal, Dharwad edged past Mysore with an 80-run first innings lead after the match petered out into a draw.
The scores (semifinals):
Raichur 61 and 82 in 27 overs (N. Manish five for eight, K.P. Appanna three for 16) lost to Bangalore 441.
Dharwad 268 and 120 for eight in 48 overs (B. Tanu 31, Dheeraj Shahaba 30, Karthik Raghavan four for 43) drew with Mysore 188.
