By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD, JULY 29. For the first time in the current monsoon, the twin cities experienced continuous downpour from Wednesday night and all through Thursday because of the low pressure over the Bay of Bengal. Students and office-goers had a tough time reaching their destinations due to the downpour. Rainwater got stagnated on several roads and the condition was especially pathetic in some main thoroughfares affecting normal traffic movement. Though no major incident was reported, the emergency cell of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad reported trees collapsing in Punjagutta (one) and Vijayanagar Colony (two). The met office forecasting more rain for Friday also.
