HYDERABAD, JULY 30. The State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has done away with the system of zonal in-charge to monitor party programmes and instead decided to have in-charges for all districts. The State was divided into 13 zones earlier with two to three districts coming under the purview of one in-charge. But, under the new system, each district would have an-incharge, the BJP State president, N. Indrasena Reddy, and the official spokesmen, S.V. Seshagiri Rao and K. Laxman, told reporters on Friday. They also said in-charges for 27 out of 31 organisational districts of the party were nominated as per the decision.
`Publicity stunt'
Mr. Reddy criticised the State Government for lack of follow-up on the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's all-party delegation to Delhi to plead with the Prime Minister for release of 50 tmcft water from the Alamatti reservoir. The visit was used for the sake of publicity, they said.
