CHENNAI, JULY 31. Bajaj Auto has reached a milestone by selling 10,000 motorcycles in Tamil Nadu alone in July. In the first quarter of the current financial Bajaj motorcycle sales had grown by 57 per cent in volume commanding a market share of 6 per cent in the state, according to R. Chandrasekar, Regional Manager (two-wheelers). Addressing presspersons here today he said, the product quality, attractive price linked with affordable finance package and the dealer network were responsible for the good performance. The CT 100 and the Boxer brands were well received by the customers across Tamil Nadu, Mr. Chandrasekar said. Many moped users had migrated to Bajaj motorcycle as the company had reduced the prices of Boxer by Rs. 3,000 to 25,990 in Tamil Nadu market, he said.
