NAGERCOIL, JULY 31. The Government has allotted Rs.32 lakhs for implementing various development schemes in the Kurunthancode union, the Collector, Rajesh Lakhoni, has said. Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, he said that of the total amount of Rs.32 lakhs, Rs.5.50 lakhs had been allotted for construction of a training centre for self-help groups, Rs.3.50 lakhs for an overhead tank, Rs.85,000 for a pathway at the Koduppakuzi Government Higher Secondary School, Rs.4.50 lakhs for additional school buildings at Koduppakuzi, Rs.5 lakhs for maintenance of the Pattanvilai-Kattimancode road, Rs.1 lakh for a self-help group building at Subramaniapuram, Rs.3.50 lakhs to ground-level water tank at Alanvilai and Rs.5.90 lakhs for maintenance of the Eraniel-Muttam road via Kurunthancode. Earlier, the Collector inspected all works and directed officials to complete them at the earliest.
