Three share top honours

HYDERABAD, JULY 31 . Three players — Muhammad Hussain, Pochaiah and V.Anudeep — were declared the joint winners in the boys' senior group (class eight to ten) in the Talent Search chess competitions conducted at Magna Chess Academy here on Saturday.

The results:

Boys: Class 1 to 4: 1. K. Vijaykanth (Siddharth PS); 2. John Medwin (DAV PS); 3. Joel Melvin (DAV PS) and Amruth Kiran (Aryabhatta PS) (joint third).

Class 5 to 7: 1. Manimaran (DAV PS Safilguda); 2. N. Amith (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan BHEL) and R. Shankar (DAV PS Safilguda) (joint second); 3. Rama Rao (Devnar School).

Class 8 to 10: 1. Muhammed Hyussain (Little Flower HS), Pochaiah (Devnar School for Blind) and V. Anudeep (All Saints HS) (joint winners); 2. Vishal (Brilliant Grammar School Narayanguda).

Girls: Class 1 to 4: 1. K. Sukanya (Siddahartha PS). No second and third.

Class 5 to 7: 1. Naga Haritha Devi (DAV PS Safilguda); 2. Chandni (Brillaint Grammar School Dilsuknagar); 3. P.Sindhu (Brilliant GS Dilsukhanar).

Class 8 to 10: 1. J. Shilpa Reddy (Brilliant GS Narayangda); 2. Manonga (Brilliant HS Dilsukhnaga); 3. Varalakshmi (Devnar School for Blind).
