Vasan welcomes Centre's directive

CHENNAI, JULY 31. The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president, G.K. Vasan has welcomed the Centre's directive to States that they observe as School Health Day July 16, the day when 94 school children died in a fire at Kumbakonam.

In a statement, Mr. Vasan said the Centre's action showed its concern for the health of school children and their welfare.
