Former Sri Lankan Minister's portrait unveiled

CHENNAI, JULY 31. A portrait of the former Sri Lankan Minister, Lanka Nainar, was unveiled at a function organised by the World Tamils Federation here on Saturday.

Unveiling it, the former Sri Lankan Minister, Rauf Hakeem, said Mr. Nainar's public life deserved commendation.

The federation president, R. Janardhanam, who was in the chair, said the late leader served as a bridge between Tamil leaders in Tamil Nadu and on the island.

The Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board chairman, N. Balaganga, spoke.
