TIRUCHI, JULY 31 . The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited conducted a training programme for its labour contract workers at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) here recently to create an awareness of legal and safety aspects of industries. The Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories (testing and safety), V. Thangaraj, and the Inspector of Factories, B. Sayee Nalina, imparted the training and explained the factory Acts, emergency preparedness, testing of pressure vessels and use of safety equipment. Speaking on the occasion, the Additional General Manager (Health, Safety and Environment), G. Srinivasan, outlined various safety measures being taken at the BHEL. The senior Manager (HR and Labour Contract Society), Jesu, Deputy General Manager (Total Loss Control), A. Venkatachalapathy, and senior manager (HRDC), M. Jeyapal, spoke.
