Course in jewellery designing

TIRUCHI, JULY 31. The Small Scale Industries Service Institute (SISI), Chennai, will provide special skill-oriented training programmes in the field of jewellery and gems for youths at Chennai, Tiruchi and Coimbatore from August 9.

A release issued here today said that 10-day and one-month courses would be held in gold appraising, refining and flashing. Courses in computer-aided jewellery designing and natural diamond cutting and polishing will be provided.

The institute would provide 50 per cent fee concession to Scheduled Caste /Scheduled Tribe /physically Handicapped groups and 10 per cent concession for women.
