Awareness camp

COIMBATORE, JULY 31 . A free asthma and allergy awareness camp will be conducted on August 1 at Karthick Poly Clinic from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., according to a release.

Medical camp

Sindhi Ladies Forum in association with Sankara Eye Centre and Rex Ortho Hospital will conduct a free medical camp for the underprivileged at Sindhi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School on August 1. The camp will be inaugurated by R. Saraswathi, Dean, Coimbatore Medical College. Free ECG, BP tests and treatment for backache, neck and knee pain will be offered. A HIV/AIDS awareness campaign will also be organised by the Society for Positive Mothers Development.

Programme

The GRD School of Commerce and International Business will organise a face-to-face with J.J. Irani, Managing Director, Tata Sons, on August 2.

Training

A training programme on fruit processing (juice, squash, jam and ketchup) will be conducted at the food processing pilot plant of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on August 5 and 6. Those interested should register their names on or before August 4 by telephone or by post.

The training fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Dean (Engg.) and sent to the Professor and Head, Post Harvest Technology Centre, AEC and RI, TNAU, Coimbatore. Registrations would be done at the Post Harvest Technology Centre, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore -641003.
