NEW DELHI, JULY 31. The Appan Menon Memorial Trust has invited applications for the annual Appan Menon Memorial Award for 2004 given to journalists for articles on world affairs and developmental issues. The award carries Rs. 1 lakh in cash. The applicants should have 3-5 years of experience and need to send a brief account of the proposed use of the grant and the time frame besides samples of recent works. The selection will be done by an eminent jury. The proposals should reach the Appan Menon Memorial Trust, N-84, Panchshila Park, New Delhi-17, by August 30. The award will be presented in September.
