KOCHI, JULY 31. The veteran actor, Thilakan, and the actress, Kavya Madhavan, today received the fifth C. Cherian Memorial Award instituted by the Cochin Fine Arts Society.

The Minister for Labour, Babu Divakaran, inaugurated a function held in connection with the award distribution ceremony at Nehru Memorial Town hall, Mattancherry.

The Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Kerala, Justice Cyriac Joseph, presented the award to the artistes.

Sebastian Paul, MP, spoke on the occasion.
