Rain likely

Generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain or showers likely is the forecast for Sunday.

The city on Saturday recorded maximum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 21.3 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 89 per cent and rainfall of 4.6 mm till 8.30 p.m.

Treatment for

hair disorders

A nearly month-long camp for free treatment of hair disorders and transplant will be organised at the Hyderabad Nursing Home in the city from August 3 to 31.

Giving details of the camp at a press conference here on Saturday, Sajjan R.Agarwal, dermatologist and cosmetic skin surgeon, said that registration, consultation and surgery would be offered free of cost and 50 per cent concession would be given on the use of operation theatre and blood tests.

The camp is being sponsored by a pharmaceutical company.

Blood donation

urged

The Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society has appealed to individuals and groups to donate blood to save `thalassemic' children who require blood transfusion immediately. The blood can be donated at Red Cross Blood Bank, Vidyasagar, Ph.No.27633087.

The Society joint secretary Aleem Baig in a release said that Thalassemia Major was the most common genetic blood disorder which requires blood transfusion every two to three weeks to survive.

Diploma

courses

The Government Girls' Vocational Institute in East Marredpally is calling applications for diploma courses in Craft Technology and Home Science. A pass in SSC is a must for both courses and the last date for applying is August 3. Details can be had on 27737057 and 98485-31479, according to a press release.

Assumes charge

Supratik Chatterjee has assumed charge as General Manager of the State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH). According to a press release issued here on Saturday, before joining SBH, Mr.Chatterjee was Zonal Manager of State Bank of Travancore at Chennai.

Bonsai

training

The School of Gardening of the Agri-Horticultural Society, Public Gardens, will conduct a Bonsai training course on its premises from August 3 to 6.
