Settibalijas seek Cabinet berths

VISAKHAPATNAM, JULY 31. The Settibalija (Gouds) community requested the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, to provide adequate representation to the community in the State Cabinet.

While the Telugu Desam party had given proper representation to the Settibalijas when it was in power, the Congress had not responded in the same vein, the organisation representing the group, said.

In a press release, the general secretary of the AP BC Students Welfare Association, P. Prasad, convenor of the City Gouda Youth Assocation, O.A. Raju, said that the West Godavari district, Pithani Satyanarayana (Penugonda) and Mukhesh Goud (Maharajganj), should be included in the Cabinet.
