Big win for Sam Babu XI

DINDIGUL, AUGUST 1. A solid knock of 63 by T. Devendra Kumar helped Sam Babu XI (Kodaikanal) carve out an 86-run victory over Jahir Cricket Club (Vedasandur) in the Indian Bank-Dindigul District Cricket Association first division league here on Sunday.

First division:

Sam Babu XI 178 in 29.4 overs (R. Karthik 41, T. Devandra Kumar 63, B. Gopi 26, B. Sekar four for 60) bt Jahir CC 92 in 23.4 overs (P. Gopi 38, B. Gopi three for 20, R. Karthik three for 16).

All Rounders CC 91 in 30.4 overs (P. Mahendran 42, B. Jeyakumar three for 23) lost to PSNA College of Engg 91 for four in 12.2 overs (M.S. Muthuvivekanandan 29, J. Z. Asik Refai 39 not out, Balaji three for nine).

All Rounders CC 178 in 42 overs (Saravanan 33, S. Philip 33, M.Singaravelan three for 30) lost to Vignesh Sports Club 182 for eight in 39.5 overs (R. Lenin 27, N. Achuthan 78 not out).

Second division:

New Magnum CC 59 in 15 overs (A. Mariappan three for 17, T. Ravi three for four) lost to Young Star CC 60 for four in 10.2 overs (Sheik Fareth 26 not out, L. Anand three for 17).
