Sports Hostel, SAI in final

BANGALORE, AUG. 1. SAI, Dharwad will meet Sports Hostel, Bangalore in the final of the Karnataka State Basketball Association's `B' division league championship here on Monday.

In the two one-sided semifinals, SAI defeated Koramangala Basketball Club 51-31 after leading 28-16 at halftime.

Sports Hostel trounced BEL Sports Club 72-41 after leading 42-28 at the break.

Irrespective of the Monday's result, both SAI and Sports Hostel have earned promotion to the senior division.

The results: Semifinals:

Sports Hostel, Bangalore 72 (Raghavendra 21, Sreeraksha 19, Varun 10) bt BEL SC 41 (Bheemaiah 16).

SAI, Dharwad 51 (Laskshman Gasti 19, Ashok Bhanda 17, Naresh 12) bt Koramangala BC 31 (Abhishek 12).
