`Blacklist defaulters'

NEW DELHI AUG. 1. The Indian Association of Voluntary Social Organisations on Saturday demanded that the Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, should "blacklist' all the non-governmental organisations which have defaulted in terms of payment of dues for the community toilet complexes maintained by them under the Yamuna Action Plan.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the Association provided a list of 15 such NGOs whose dues ranged from Rs. 90 lakhs to Rs. 2 lakhs.

Alleging that top officials of the Slum Department of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi were hand in glove with these defaulting NGOs, the Association demanded that they be immediately removed and steps be initiated to recover the dues from them.
