Two cows die in accident

MANGALORE, AUG. 1. A Tempo Trax carrying 17 cows and a lorry collided near a school at Gurupura-Kaikamba in the Bajpe Police Station limits on Saturday.

Two cows died in the accident. The driver of the Tempo Trax and two others sustained injuries.

Investigations are on.

Theft

The pocket of Giridhar Rao, a resident of Bangalore, was reportedly picked when he was receiving prasadam at Sri Venkataramana Temple on Ratha Beedhi here.

His purse contained his driving license, ATM and credit cards and other documents, it is said. The Mangalore North (Bunder) Police have registered a case.
