Giles does West Indies in

By Ted Corbett

BIRMINGHAM, AUG. 2. Ashley Giles tweaked out five more West Indian batsmen on Sunday afternoon and became the first England spinner to take nine wickets in successive Tests since Tony Lock destroyed New Zealand twice in 1958.

England won the second Test by 252 runs to keep the Wisden Trophy with its third successive series win.

Giles, derided for his lack of success only a month ago, finished with five for 57 as West Indies was bowled out for 222, a lucky number for England, which gained its eighth success in nine Tests.
