Knitwear exports from Tirupur up

COIMBATORE: The value of knitwear exports from Tirupur has gone up by about 20 per cent to Rs. 2,581 crores during January-June 2004 from Rs. 2,147 crores in the corresponding period in the previous year, according to the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC). During this period 2,354 lakh pieces of knitwear were exported from the town as against 2,219 lakh pieces. — Our Staff Reporter
