TIRUPATI, AUG. 2. Students of the S.V. University's Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) today launched a relay hunger strike protesting against the inordinate delay in the refund of fees which they alleged was hiked abnormally. The students who held a demonstration under the banner of the AISF in front of the Administrative Building accused the Vice-Chancellor of having failed to keep his commitment to them during their previous round of agitation to find an amicable solution to their problem within a week. Students threatened to intensify their relay fast into an indefinite fast if the university did not respond positively to their demands, which included improvement of amenities in the hostels and regularisation of services of the faculty belonging to the IASE.
