MADDUR (WARANGAL DT.), AUG. 2. The Joint Collector, Syed Omer Jaleel, has exhorted students to make use of educational facilities being offered by the Ladnur Old Students Association (LOSA) and outsmart those studying in corporate colleges. Inaugurating the science laboratory wing of Surya Nalanda Junior College set up by the LOSA on no profit no loss basis, Mr. Jaleel said many children in rural areas are deprived of educational opportunities due to lack of institutions. The youth having no avocation or employment were turning towards extremism, he said. "Society values only those who are educated. With education, one can excel in life besides serving the society," he explained.
College lauded
Complementing the college authorities for achieving 90 per cent results, the Joint Collector wanted the students to assure their teachers of cent per cent results in the current academic year. "If you think, you can do miracles. nothing is impossible for the dedicated," he told the students. The LOSA president and college Principal, P. Rammurthy said, "As many students hailing from this village were not getting seats in intermediate in nearby mandals, we decided to start an institution in the village. This college is being run with a service motto," he said. The LOSA vice-president, Khursheed Ahmed, the members -- D. Aga Reddy and D. Krishna Reddy -- and village elders spoke on the occasion.
