Portfolios re-allocated

SHIMLA, AUG 3 . The portfolios of the three Ministers who were shown the door during the downsizing exercise recently were reallocated today to some other Cabinet Ministers in the Virbhadra Singh Government.

The Health portfolio, earlier held by Chandresh Kumari, was given to Ram Lal Thakur, a close confident of Mr.Singh. Kuldeep Kumar who gets Industry would also continue as Co-operative Minister. G.S.Bali, the Transport Minister, gets an additional portfolio of Tourism. The Tourism Ministry was earlier held by Vijay Singh Mankotia. The Revenue portfolio has gone to the Rural Development Minister, Sat Mahajan. It was earlier with B.B.L.Bhutail.

The Chief Minister has not given the portfolio of Forests to any one and preferred to keep it with himself along with the portfolios of General Administration, Personnel, Home, Finance, Planning, Public Works Department and all the departments not allocated to any other Minister.
