COIMBATORE: The seventh Poultry Expo 2004 will be held here on August 5 and 6. According to M. A. Nazeer, its convenor, 84 stalls will be put up at the exhibition and a conference on "Importance of Quality in Poultry Products to Meet Global Competition" will be held on August 6. About 15 experts and scientists will participate in the conference. The expo will be inaugurated on August 5 by the Minister for Animal Husbandry, P. V. Damodaran. Manufacturers and suppliers of products for the poultry sector from India, Europe and the U.S. will participate, he added. Mr. Nazeer said a separate poultry board should be set up to monitor the sector and help in its sustained growth.
