Two express trains diverted
New Delhi-Bangalore Karnataka Express which left Delhi on Monday was diverted to run via Itarsi, Nagpur, Ballarshah, Secunderabad, Halakatta, Guntakal and Dharmavaram. Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express which left on August 2 from Hazarat Nizamuddin was diverted to run via Itarsi, Nagpur, Ballarshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur and Jolarpettai.

Proposals for works sought
Reviewing the progress on works as per the assurances of Dr. Reddy, the Joint Collector said a State-level meting was being held every fortnight at Hyderabad for reviewing the progress on the assurances. The proposals should be submitted at that meeting, he added.
Lok Satta team visits hospital
The hospital Superintendent, Sureah Kumar, informed to the delegation led by the Lok Satta district secretary, P.Madhusudan Rao, that recruitment of the class four employees was necessary to maintain hygienic conditions in the hospital. The organisation's town president, Keshava Reddy and the district representative, Sashidhar Chandrasekhar, were also present.
Farewell accorded
Mr. Reddy said he was leaving the district with a heavy heart. The Collector, Vijayanand, the new Joint Collector, B.Sridhar, the District Revenue Officer, Chakravarthy and other officers also took part in the programme.
Hostel opened
The Zilla Parishad chairperson, Keetha Laxmamma, said she would bring to the notice of the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, who is visiting the district in the second week of this month as part of `Rajiv Pallebata', the need for a special hostel for BC girls. The Joint Collector, B.Sridhar, the municipal chairperson, P.Venkata Narayana Goud, and the district BC welfare association president, Ramaraju, took part in the programme.
