THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 3. The Fort police have arrested four persons in connection with the theft of autorickshaws from different parts of the city. The police identified the accused as Abdul Ajmal Khan (24), Krishnakumar (24), Sulfikar (26) and Udayakumar (32). The Circle Inspector (Fort), T.F. Xavier, said the accused dismantled the stolen autorickshaws and sold them as spare parts. He said the engines of the stolen autorickshaws were sold after changing the engine numbers. The accused were produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
