Cash taken away at gunpoint
The accused were also wielding knives, the Dindigal police said. Around 7.30 p.m., they drove straight to Jitender, a worker, in the petrol bunk. Two of them got down and allegedly threatened the worker with knives and a firearm and took him inside a cabin where two other employees -- Kamalakar and Sampath -- were present. They snatched money from the cash bags of workers and sped away. "All this happened while another employee, Chittibabu, was filling diesel in a lorry's fuel tank a few metres away. Neither the worker nor the lorry driver notice this," the Medchal Inspector, R. Sudarshan, said.
